Default Made an offer on a 12' L made me think

I made an offer on a 2012 460L with UL a few days ago. I don't think they are gonna take it. It wasnt lowball, but I threw it out there to test the waters.

While looking, it made me think. Does anyone know how many 2011's or 2012's came with what packages? While looking I find many of the later models are terribly specd out. Its rare to see one with reclining rear seats nevermind UL or the Executive Package. I look almost daily, and I am lucky to find one for sale in the country that's loaded. Would be interesting to compare the numbers of vehicles sold in recent years fully loaded vs 2007, 2008. Thoughts?

Maybe people are just holding on to them so they're harder to find.

I think it's easier for them to sell highly optioned vehicles when their life cycles are new and the demand is thru the roof. Once people start losing interest and think it's an older model anyway, it's harder to unload these very expensive examples and reduces overall sales, or they end up taking losses on them to move them off the lot.

Hi Greg, it's great to see that you are testing the waters and not getting too comfy in that Camry

While I don't have an answer to your question about the rarity of a 2012 LWB UL, you may recall this thread from last April where we compared sales of various versions of the LS from 2013-2016. I especially refer you to post #15 . Rhambler may be able to dig up similar numbers for the 2007-2012 MYs also.

Thanks for that. Wow as they went towards 2016 the numbers really fall off. Out of the 288 LWB AWD 2016's they sold, I wonder how many were well appointed. I guess the numbers really show it.

I am still loving playing with the Camry. I am going to install some component speakers in the rear doors where there are none now. I also need to build a much bigger box for my subs over the winter, and design an amp rack. So I have plenty to play with. Might be picking up a new Pioneer headunit for it as well with Car Play but we'll see. The forums are horrible for these cars compared to here. This place truly is a unicorn. The amount of knowledge about our cars from users is amazing.

I saw the 2012, and figured wth. Might as well. We'll see. If I find the right car I may buy it, but I'm also looking at buying some property in different places across the county so who knows. I always keep the LS door open though. I miss it.
