I run it on traditional most of the time, because the radar cruise, even at maximum following distance reacts later than I do. But I am using it more and more, because you never know when another driver may do something erratic, and I may have glanced off the instance before. Then the system would have a reaction maybe before I would.
Congrats on such a good find and great car!!!

Interesting take on DRCC. I use it all the time on my 2014 LS, and I feel that the car reacts too soon even at the minimum distance setting! So much so that as the car slows down I give it some gas to override the DRCC and creep closer to the vehicle ahead of me. Trust me, I am still several car lengths back, and nowhere close to tailgating! Perhaps both of our systems need to be recalibrated

Yeah, but bypass will allow the ML to play DVDs only on the front Nav screen. The OP wants to entertain his 9 year olds in the back seats. I bought two portable DVD players that are attached to the front head rests. Not the most elegant solution, but it keeps my teenagers from killing each other

OP, great buy! Beautiful car and color. The paint color reminded me of the beautiful dark metallic green on Littleguy's LS. Yours seems to be more grayish than green.

Black is still the most popular colour for resell. Green is a little bit personal

thanks! It was owned originally by an attorney who had offices all over the country. So he had a house in each city and a car At each house. This was the Ohio car. Barely driven but always taken for maintenance. Lucky find to be certain! Hope the air shocks hold out!

Keep it maintained with perfect service records and diligent attention to polish and wax, this one will sell just as well as any. But I aim to keep it forever. Ha. Famous last words. We shall see...personally think it would be perfect as a first car for my kids in 7 years.

Congrats! Great purchase and great photos. I still can't get over the size of that trunk, or lack thereof. I still want one though. Wishing you many trouble-free years of ownership.

Default Drcc & v1...

I installed my V1 and ran it with DRCC. The DRCC does not trigger the V1.

My V1 had an overnight dangle a time or two on a previous vehicle, so the power cord was a bit messed up. Then I messed with it just wrong and managed to finish off the power cord. So I order the $16 hardwire kit from amazon. It has an RJ11 on one end and a couple of "spaid" looking connectors on the other end that can be inserted into the back side of a connector above the console (no wire cutting / splicing / tapping). Gonna hardwire it this weekend.

As for the blendmount, my mirror stem has sort of a collar on it. With the collar the blendmount will not work. The collar holds a wire harness from the sensor that detects oncoming headlights for the auto high beam feature. Anyway, I'm going to remove that collar (try to anyway) and see if then the blendmount will work before I buy it.
