Default control arm bushings, tie rods, wheel bearings, struts, shocks, shock absorber

My LS430 changed rear shock absorber, my LS460 rear struts are leaking, I saw a thread saying rear have only shocks, no struts. I am a little confused. Is there a pic that can show where are control arm bushings, tie rods, wheel bearings, struts, shocks, shock absorber in Lexus LS suspension?

Are you going for the complete suspension service? You can search for Lexus of south atlanta. They have diagrams and imo decent pricing.

Google Images has tons of diagrams and schematics. Use search terms,"LS460 rear suspension diagram".

This week I complained to the dealer that my wife's RX350 have a stiff ride and I can feel every road inperfection. They checked and find both right rear shock and right front strut are leaked out. 3rd party warranty doesn't cover struts & shocks, so I have to pay myself.

Is shock and strut the same?
Why front shock cost way more than the rear shock (front $180, rear $50)?
Why the labor to replace the front shock is way more than rear one(front $282 vs rear $122)?
anytime you replace shocks, do you need to do wheel alignment?

A strut is a shock and spring together as a unit. A shock and a strut are not the same thing; there are still suspension systems on the road that set up the rear suspension with a shock and spring next to it....not together as a single unit, but separate. The RX 350 probably doesn't have this older type of setup, but a strut can be taken apart and they can replace just the shock portion of the unit...which is probably where they're getting the $50 price tag. Also rear suspension components are sometimes cheaper because they are not as large as front suspension parts, because front suspensions have to also support the weight of the engine and transmission.
