Yeah, I wouldn't want camel drool to ruin the leather in my LS either And it will be very satisfying to wash off all that bug juice off your car! Safe travels

There is a fire on the 15 at the Cajon pass, it is shut down at the moment until they contain the blaze... Drivers are forced to find their way around right now.

Amazing shot, Greg3852. Can't decide if it is dawn or dusk. Looks like sunset, and the sheets of rain are beautiful. I wonder if the sun was too low to generate a rainbow.

It was sunset. It was beautiful.

We are now in Vegas after visiting the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam. Took a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Stunning. A must do.

Beautiful pics! The one of your car with the mesa in the background is especially nice. Is the aerial pic from the chopper?

Well. Trip hit a snag here in Vegas. Hit a curb and broke the passenger rear lower control arm, rear bumper cover, and who knows what else. Not happy.

Renting a car and continuing the trip. Cross Country Road Trip-photo47.jpg

What a bummer . It's tough to see the wheel and bumper look mangled on a beautiful car. Well, good to know you and your wife are OK and continuing with the trip. Be safe

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that happen.

Hopefully your insurance will have things ready for your return trip!

I hope so. The care is at Lexus of Las Vegas right now waiting for the adjuster. They were excellent. I can't believe how good our service advisor was.

I looked at the car, and both upper and lower control arms snapped in half, the right rear axle came out, rear rim, rear bumper cover, front bumper cover somehow, and the fender liner. Now I'm wondering if it'll be totaled? What percentage of the value of the car does it have to be to be totaled? Thoughts?
