I have a squawking sort of noise from behind the glovebox area that seems to happen when I'm driving on a freeway at speed . It sounds like a little electric motor maybe trying to adjust an AC flap perhaps ? my dealer says they haven't heard of it ?

That is what it sounds like to me. Any chance the cabin filter was changed while the a/c was not in recirculate mode? This is known to cause a problem.

BTW, what is a Swarovski crystal starter ring?

Actually I'm afraid to ask because I think my wife is going to want one!
