Default Purchased a 2008 LS460. DVD Changer and Aux-in issue

Hey guys,

I purchased my first LS about a week ago. It's a 2008 model with 62K miles.
I have an issue with the DVD changer and the aux in. I am unable to switch to the DVD changer using the Disc-aux button. When I press the Disc-aux button the internal HDD is activated which doesn't have any music on it. Once in this mode I can't switch the audio mode using the Mode button on the steering wheel. I have to press either FM or AM/SAT to get out of the HDD mode.

When I use the voice control and say DVD it says "Unable to read DVD."

Also, I can't load/eject discs to/from the changer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Radio is working fine.

Try plugging in an aux cable to see if anything shows on the navi screen.

I have tried with both aux cable connected and disconnected. Nothing seems to work.

It sounds like you may have loaded a disc that somehow may have gotten stuck. Some discs are thick and that may be the problem. Try repeatedly to eject the discs. Otherwise a good stereo shop may be able to help you.

Nothing happens when I press the Eject or Load button. There should be an amber light which then converts to green but nothing!! No go.

Check the manual, maybe there's a dedicated fuse for the unit and it's blown.

Does your AUX work? I understand you mentioned it but I didn't know if you were referring to the Aux actually working or not.

I just went through this entire ordeal. Look for my thread on it.

No, the aux does not work. I can't even switch to aux in mode.

Checked the manual last night. There's are 4 different fuses for the radio(located in the driver and passenger side near the foot area). And it doesn't specify which fuse does what in the manual.

So did you check all 4 fuses?

Default Checked all fuses.

Checked all the fuses. ALL of them in the 4 locations. Under the hood, driver side under the steering wheel, passenger side under the glove box and in the trunk. All the fuses are working perfectly fine.

Hmmmm, I thought sure since you didn't see either a green or amber light that there must be a blown fuse. I'm still thinking there might be a stuck CD in the unit, but then I would think you would see the amber light when the unit tried to eject it.

I guess I revert back to taking it to a good car stereo shop.

Took these from the Diagnostic screen... does this help?
I noticed there is no "OK" next to the AUDIO OPTION AUX.
