Regardless, I'd gladly pay 700 dollars to repair mine. Most here are very happy with the results and are getting repairs that update the amp to current reliability found in newer LS'. That said, if you find out that these other companies do in fact repair mobile amps such as ours, let us know!
The first link showed picture of auto amp.
the second link seemed to be auto related.
I am not in the immediate market for this.. Fortunately, because I bought a lot of lexuses, the dealer would probably replace mine for minimal charge - Lexus would help I think..
One of my LS is out of warranty and one is within warranty..
I was only trying to help.. in case anyone has a current problem.

At 135k on a 2007 in Houston, I've had no issues with the amp. I have however replaced subs for the the rear deck and both front doors.....

My drivers side 6x9 has just tanked again. Anyone know of a repair place vs buying a new one at $700?

"Tee: Did heat play a part in failure of the amp?

Tech: No, the amp has dual fans and digital amps run cooler than traditional amps."

Regarding heat...I am willing to concur that the failures these amps have is not 'heat related' but have to comment that while they do have dual fans, they are also 'cocooned' in a small, well insulated compartment in the trunk. So the cooling fans probably help, but nonetheless they are recirculating their own hot air over and over.

I'll bet on a 110 degree summer day , driving for 4 hours down a highway, that amp gets plenty warm. Especially if you are cranking the high voltage rock and roll.

Please take a look at this link.

You wrote something about the settings moving to one extreme.. I have no idea whether or not the amp could cause that kind of behavior..

Also, I am not convinced that you need to spend $700 for repair.. Audio amps are easily repaired by audio amp techs.. I had posted a couple of links earlier.. You might want to talk to one of those.. Many of them are home audio.. but it would not hurt to ask.. or to simply google to find someone cheaper.. I would be surprised if others cant fix it for less money.. That guy simply raised the price from $350 to $700, because no one else;s name has been posted here as an alternative source. I bet there is.. If mine breaks, I am going to find that alternative source..

Located amp on rt side trunk.... Disconnect all plug on amp while radio is on... No good....
Listened for chirp.... No chirp....hmm... What else can I do?

Look at audio on screen.... Treble and bass is at far right cannot adjust at all....

Update..... Send amp off to New York..... Tech said....yep.... Main board is defective and you should have a blown 30amp fuse under the glove box... I said what... Another fuse.... I check it... Blown like he said... Dam... I didn't check that one.... Oh well.... The tech ask if I wanted amp fix...I said seriously ...of course big dummy...lol
....he said $725....and ok from me..... Please.... I said ok and lets do it the American way...lets charge it... Lol

The tech said just wait for the billing department to call and then charge it....I said ok!

Go it two days later... Change fuse under glove box.... Plug it up....bam!!!!! It's alive!!!!!

Let's try to blow it up within a year.... That's the warranty period! Lol

I'm happy for my music..... The end!
