Default CPO 2008 LS460L. 56,000 miles. $31K. Should I take this? Or haggle more? Need help!

They are offering a CPO 2008 LS460L with 56,000 miles. Should I take it for 31K? Or haggle down? If so, what should I haggle it down to?

It has ML sound system, advanced parking/parking assist, luxury package.

I didn't see any service for brake actuators or control arm bushings. However it is CPO, so it does come with the 3 year warranty. I imagine I can rely on CPO to fix that. It appears clean. Will test drive and inspect myself. But before I waste a trip, just wanted to know what you guys think. Should I haggle for extended warrantys?

Need your expert advice!

I would say, try to drop it $1K and if they refuse take it! CPO is like origional warranty will fix all these issues if exist.

Three weeks ago I got $33K trade in for my Touring 08 LWB with 49K miles.

I forgot to mention that it has the air suspension too. Unfortunately carfax shows one minor accident that happened. I assume that it was repaired fine, otherwise lexus wouldn't make it a CPO right?

thanks for the reply hfahmy! I saw you in my other thread. Man, I am getting anxious to close a deal. But I have to make sure it's okay haha.

Does the fact that its been in one minor accident in the past affect the pricing?
If I can't haggle him down another 1K, do you think I could haggle for extended warranty on top of the 3 year/100,000 mile?
How legit/peace of mind should I have with the fact that its CPO?

I'd shoot for $1K-$1500 off.
You know the person that traded the LS got a lot less because of a Carfax hit.

Interesting that they are certifying one with an accident! I agree ask for $1.5K off and ask for 3 more years extension to CPO if you are planning to keep the car.

I take it you're not buying this from a Lexus dealership and the car was a CPO from a previous sale. Was the accident before or after the car was first CPO'd?

Based off of carfax and service history timeline, it appears that it was:

1. Sold to the very first original owner from a Lexus dealership way back when the car was first manufactured.
2. The original owner sold it to a Lexus dealership
3. Then that Lexus dealership sold it to a second owner as a CPO
4. Accident happened.
5. The 2nd owner sold it to a Lexus dealership (current one I am negotiating right now)
5. That Lexus dealership (I am currently in talks with) is trying to sell it as a CPO

Is this sketchy? Does it just mean the damage was minor? I do find it a bit odd that a car with an accident history noted is being listed and sold as an official CPO

Any thoughts? Any more suggestions on pricing?

Unfortunately my car will show up on Carfax with a minor accident. A couple months ago an elderly lady in the parking lot thought she stepped on the brake, but instead stepped on the gas. She hit my rear bumper and scrapped it and put a slight 2" tear in it. As a result the whole bumper has to be replaced.

That actually is a great thing for me because my bumper was somewhat scraped up anyway and now I will get a brand new pristine one. So in my case rather than being a negative, it is a real positive. So if that is all your "minor accident" was, you are ahead of the game. I guess the problem is you don't know that.

As far as I know, CPO has nothing to do with body cosmetics, only mechanicals, etc.

Oh, and I should add that I took photos of the damage so that if a potential buyer down the road asked what the "minor damage" was, I could just show them how minor it was.

If its a lexus certified warranty id take it. But try and get the warranty increased from 3year/100,000 miles to 5year/100,000 miles.

I don't think the price is bad, but the car sis take a hit in finished value form the minor accident. I would check NADA for the value also get third party inspector if you don't feel great about the where it was hit etc. Lexus will CPO a car that was in a minor accident, sometimes they won't know if the owner had it fixed and did not report it to the insurance company.

With a Lexus CPO, I would feel comfortable about any issue with the previous damage. As far as the price, I would push for a better deal. If they won't deal on price, try for a NAV update, free service for a year, etc. Things that don't cost the dealership a lot, but are worth money to you.
