What are the OEM battery CCA's (cold cranking amps) on a 2011 LS460? They are not indicated on the battery and I need them in order to test the battery. Thanks.

Spoke to 2 different dealers and they state cca's of 710, 585, and 550. The battery fails under a load test at 600. Called Lexus and they say they don't have that info and take it in to be tested. Again, the cca's are not on the battery. Incredible! The car starts fine but I don't want to get stuck.

I know it's been colder than normal down there, but why are you so concerned about CCA's? I would think that would be a non-factor. Do they even sell high CCA batteries down there? I always look for it here in the Northeast, but we need the power in sub zero temps.

Thanks for your input. Actually, I'm not concerned with the amount of cca's as long as they're what the car manufacturer calls for. However, batteries are load tested based on their rated cca's. If they fail the test, they're history, or soon will be, whether they're 400 or 900 cca's. Without this info, it's impossible to properly load test a battery which is what I'm trying to do.

Lexus specs lower CCA batteries. Generally around the 600 mark. I had them replace mine on a 2013 GS F sport 6 months old with a optima red top battery. Fixed my issue.

Thanks for the info and you are correct based on my findings. Advance Auto shows 2011 OEM cca's at 585 and another site did also. CCA's were higher in older models per these sources.

Once I tested mine with the correct cca's, it failed. (Actually it was only 29 mos. old but not covered by my CPO Lexus warranty per the exclusions. ) I picked a new one up from Advance Auto with 700 cca's ($117, group size 24) and it is a perfect fit physically after removing the casing. Advance batteries are made by Johnson Controls.

Somewhere in the mid to high 500's I looked up the exact part no. with the specs a while ago before replacing it for my Die Hard Gold with 750 and 135 RC.
