Which would provide the smoothest ride --i.e minimal vibration?

My understanding is that the LS 430 ultra luxury has air suspension, whereas the LS 460L has a 7" longer wheelbase. All things being equal, a longer wheelbase would be smoother; however, I wonder how the air suspension fits into the equation...

The 460L has the option for Air Suspension. So, if you add that to your equation, I would assume the 460L would be a smoother ride.

NP. The real question is did Lexus make the Air Suspension any better/smother with the remake of the LS model to the 460.

Based on my personal experience, the answer to the equation = LS430

I have a '07 460L non-air and my parents have an '06 430 on air, and I think the 430 is smoother. But as Iceman mentioned above, my guess is the 460L with air would be the smoothest.

i have driven both (430 with air and 460L with air), to be honest LS430 felt smoother.

my dad has a air ls430 and i think its a bit smoother than my non-air 460...but i prefer the ride in my car

i owned ls460l with air, and i have driven a lot of ls430 ul (never owned one), honestly i think ls430 ul rides smoother. it has a softer suspension imho

obviously the best way to find out would be to go and test drive both cars and judge it for yourself hope you get what your looking for

The 430 on Air rides like a cloud.....The only thing on par I can think of is the old S-class W140.

My 2004 LS430 (non Air) was far smoother and quieter than my 2007 LS460.
I no longer have either.

I am leaning toward the UL LS430 too............ also at wide open throttle the exhaust muffler sound is quieter which i like.

yes, the ls460 seems to carry more engine noise
