Default New Member - Looking forward to less drama than my BMW

Proud new owner of a 2008 Lexus LS460. Black on black.

I look forward to being a valued contributor on this forum as I have been on other forums I've been a member of (Diesel truck forums, BMW, RV, Mustang, Acura).

I definitely look forward to getting valuable information from y'all and having some engaging exchanges.

But what I REALLY look forward to, is a far less turbulent ownership experience that I had with my previous whip - a 2003 BMW 745i. Wow....what a gong show that was. As much as the car was an incredible ride when it ran properly, the constant issues made ownership a challenge. Good riddance.

Cheers
Chris

Welcome aboard... I got into my 08 LS for the same reasons. Came from a 2002 BMW 540i

Congrats, also a former BMW owner. I think Toyota should thank BMW for making it easy for them.

LOL... I did that BEFORE I decided to get into this car.

I wish I had done that with the Beemer!

Thanks everyone for the welcomes. And to the fellow former BMW owners here, hopefully therapy is found in our LS'....

Same here; Traded a 2002 Mercedes CL500 for a 2011 Lexus LS460 a few months ago.

After 25 years of BMW ownership, the last being an e38, I'm done.

Welcome to Lexus, but never call it a 'whip'.

Thanks.

Its so nice to be able to get in my car now and NOT have to worry about it starting or not or if there will be any error messages waiting or me.

Its nice to be out of the BMW!

Welcome roadfrog and fellow Canadian! For many years I dreamed of owning a BMW but when it was finally possible, after driving the 5 series (could not bring myself to pay what the 7 series was going for) I opted for Lexus and the rest is history.

While I can't say my Lexus experience has been totally problem free, given the number of years of ownership and the complexity of these vehicles, I have certainly been very happy. I wish the same for you.
