Default Flexible Mud Guards for LS 460

Can anyone tell me if the factory mud guards for a LS 460 are flexible? My wife's car had with mud guards that were made from fiberglass (or some hard material). They would hit on the speed bumps in malls and other places. They finally broke off and I replaced them with flexible ones (rubber, plastic or something),
I would like to get Lexus mud guards for my car but not if they are going to break!

No offense, but to me that would be like putting mud guards on a Rolls Royce.

No offense taken! Mud guards are standard on ls 460's in most of the world. Lexus custom makes mud guards & sells them for $400 per set.
They are used to protect the paint on the lower part of the paint behind the wheels when I drive over gravel roads.

That makes sense Henry. I can see where they do have their uses.

I also agree with you Henry. Good looking and good quality mudflaps are very useful and protective without compromising it's fit and overall look. I have been looking for front and and rear sets for my 2013 LS460 at reasonable pricing. Lexus is not offering them in the United States right now for the current model year and the only source for genuine ones I could find is on eBay directly imported from Japan. paying $600 to 700 for 4 color matched mudflaps is slightly hard to justify. If anyone finds a reliable link where those are available for close to $300 truly appreciated.

gravel roads and soft lexus paint, mud guards sound like a wise investment. But then again, with the very conservative offsets of the wheels, those rocks would never leave the fender well anyway lol
