I have been doing some research on the 305/25/22 tire size and Toyo Proxes 4 are still in limited production and available but not published on Toyo's website. You have to get them from an authorized Toyo dealer who can special order them. The part number is 197850. This size matches up better with the 255/30/22 front tire setup. The 305/25/22 size provides additional width to help eliminate the stretched look on a 10.5" wheel that the 295/25/22 has(some brands), but it is also just a little thicker to help with a better ride and perhaps even wheel protection to some extent.

I was quoted $677 out the door for two (recently made) 305/25/22 tires, mounted/balanced, road hazard, taxes etc by Kaufmann Tire here in ATL.

Be advised, there is an Ebay vendor selling these for $269 each, but I did confirm with the vendor that those on Ebay are well over 3 years old and most likely their DOT date is 4-5 years old. He did say they are in their climate controlled warehouse, but tires do have a shelf life. Not bashing the vendor at all, just advising that these are in no way recently made tires and most retailers like Discount Tire who can provide road hazard for tires you don't buy from them, will not be able to provide you a warranty with DOT dates older than 3 years.

There is another company making this 305/25 size made by Dilente, but the feedback from many is that this tire has a history of not being "round"...meaning vibration city regardless of how good a balance you get, so they need to get their rep points up.

Just wanted to provide you all something else to consider. If I continue my staggered setup, I am definitely going with 255/30 and 305/25 combo for my all wheel drive LS600hL. This provides an acceptable load rating combo as well as only a 0.1" difference in overall diameter, a crucial element to running staggered wheels on an AWD LS, or any other AWD car.

I do realize that this tire may only work for us who are conservative in our fitments, so this may not work for many of you who are riding dumped all the time. I know I can get rid of my rear 3mm spacer by getting these which will flush out nice on my setup. I just wished Continental DWS came in 255 and 305 sizes..

Just wanted to advise you of yet another option if you want that steamroller size for your rear 22" 10.5" wheels. These are the Delinte D7 Thunder tires and are becoming very popular, especially due to cost. I just picked up a pair for $375 shipped to my house by a local tire wholesale place here in Atlanta. But, there are a few sellers on Ebay that are selling these as well for cheap and free shipping. I recommend Vittore Wheel and Tire in North Carolina. They sell on Ebay and very friendly over the phone by the way.

The good thing about this 305 size is that it is 10mm wider than the 295/25/22 is that it removes that somewhat stretched look exposing the top part of the wheel lip. Some 295s are shaped different and don't have that appearance, but my former 295/25/22's did and I didn't like it. I have seen these on an LS460L in person and it looks great and sits so wide!! If you have a 10.5" wide wheel and anything less than a 38 offset, you may rub but if you are on Factory Air Suspension you may be able to avoid if you have the data controller.

If you run staggered on an AWD LS, then the 255/30 and 305/25 combo is spot on for diameter difference, another plus to avoid running 245/295 combo.

Yes, they are made in China, but 75% of what you have in your house is too including your beloved and reliable iPhones and iPads Like any tire, there are mixed reviews. I will provide a detailed review when I get these installed on my new wheels and run them for at least 2 weeks with mixed driving.

You already know how I feel about the 305 and it defiantly be my next tires for the rear. They look soooo much better especially from the rear nice and wide!

I'm glad to see you guys are happy with those delinte tires. Because i tried a set of 265/30 and it was nightmare for me. I couldn't get it to balance, it vibrates at all speed, and it wouldn't hold out on rainy roads.

I think I was one of the earlier members to put it on at least that I have seen and after 8 months no issues what so ever they fit perfectly on air not lowered I get no rubs with full passengers tread on the Toyo's has held up though Ive only driven 3,500 miles. We'll see how these do

What is the treadwear , traction & temperature on these tires?

I don't have a LS but I'm running those Delinte tires and they are doing fine after 6 months. I believe they are manufactured or owned by Lexani. Pretty quiet for a cheap Asian brand tire and I like the tread pattern.

Not true mane, I called Toyo directly to verify immediately before I started this thread. Please look at my first post again. I included the part number as verified by Toyo and it is called the Toyo Proxes 4. They do not advertise that they still make it, but they do and it is special order through a Toyo distributor only. The 255/30 size is no longer available and converted over to the T1R which is a summer tire with a 280 treadwear. Not sure why they stopped making the 255 size, but I guess they have their reasons.

As mentioned above, the 255/305 combo is spot on for overall diameters for the AWD and the LS can easily take the 305 size in the rear fender well provided the rear wheel offsets are 38 to 42mm offset..roughly. Kofie is running and has minor rubbing on the outer plastic fender trim piece but that is easily remedied by either removing that piece of riding higher on the air suspension data controller

I will know my situation more on Friday when I get my new wheels mounted to these steamrollers
