Beemers do seem to command a lot of service work. My neighbor has an 02 5 Series. Seems she has a loaner car more than hers. Another friend had a 5 series and while it had over 200K miles, he also had it in the shop quite a bit (He now drivers a 2012 ES350). I'm sure BMW's are fine cars, but I've always been happy with the Lexus brand.

I bought a CPO 07 LS460L with little over 10k in '08 I now have 180k on it. My commute to work and back home is about 130 miles and I drive to Vegas, LA and SF constantly.

Welcome to the forum.
Could you kindly detail any work as a result of reliability issues that was done to your LS 460.

Welcome to CL.
Thanks for sharing.
It's nice to know that our LS is well built.
Bought MY 08 6 months ago with 58K and hope to get at least additional 100K mi on it.
I'm at 65k now and no problem so far. Had the fuel line recall done a few weeks ago.

I've done nothing but regular maintenance. Burned through tires cause of my constant long trips and I always have to change my air filters due to the fact I have to drive through farming land to get home. The engine and transmission have been nothing but perfect. Even now, I'm not afraid to really push down the gas pedal. I couldn't be any happier with the build on my LS.

That's very good to hear. There are some here especially those that drive a 430 that believe your car has to be doomed and it's a matter of when.

Lol! Yes I keep reading about how terrible my car is, yet just this week alone I put 630 miles on it, without a single issue. Did the same thing last week and the week before, and before and before...will hopefully do the same this week...we'll see. At some point I'll probably have to change the brakes...I'm doomed.

Someone should probably call Consumer Reports and let them know they made a huge mistake by ranking the LS460 number one in reliability for large luxury automobiles last month.

Huge congrats and welcome! That's the exact model as well as mileage mine had when it was purchased! Very happy and excited for you!
You've purchased one of the worst cars you could have possibly bought! Make way for all of the possible issues a car can have will be manifested in your new to you LS!
Only joking!
But yes, please start a new thread, post a few photos and tell is about yourself!
We here at CL love to hear about new owners and their journey to obtain it.
Congrats again!
Enjoy!

Just a little something for you to take a look at if you haven't already read/seen it.
One of the moderators, CJITTY began this thread for current LS 460 owners and I think you'll enjoy it, as many of us here in the forum participated.

Feel free to add you story/info as well!

Congrats on the new car. I hope you love it half as much as I love mine. You will have lots of issues so be prepared! You'll have to change the windshield wipers, eventually the tires & worst of all the battery!!!!! (curse those Lexus bastages for not making them last the life of the car!).

Enjoy!

That mileage is reasonable. If maintained like you said you should no problem with it. I just got a 08 with 92k mileage...some of the history was gone but just in case I went ahead and changed the oil, brake fluid and spark plugs and I should be good for a long while!!
