Got new rear tires last week. 295/25/22. Needed to have my rear quarters/fenders shaved so they wouldn't rub.

So what size did you have before? That is the typical size for us running 22 wides in the back

I was running 285/25/22. The wheels are 22x10.5 +38. The 285s cleared but the 295s have a more square sidewall. The 285s were stretched.

Interesting, I have same exact specs with 295/25/22 Continental DWS and a 3mm spacer putting me at 35 offset and no rubs even at level 5 of air suspension. I wonder if that is because i have factory air suspension, but i didn't rub on my 460 either with same specs and lowering springs. I only barely rubbed on the inner part of the fender felt lining with two adults in back seat. I think continental dws is the way to go, not square like some tires

goes to show you guys that different tire brands sit/inflate differently when mounted.

when i had my 22s i had 295/25/22 falkens and they rubbed as well.

I agree I had sone michelins n they rubbed every now and then (295 25 22) now im rocking nitto invo's same size no rub plus they stretch better.
