Default LS600 h / LS600hl would you keep it after (extended)warranty runs out?

Today I was presented with the opportunity to get into an '08 600h.
I know not to trade into one of those without consulting with our panel.
Given the car's current mileage of 35K, I'll purchase the Lexus Extended Warranty.

My question is how confident our current 600 owners feel about keeping their cars past
Warranty expiration.

I kept my previous LS for about 9 years, but don't know about longevity of the hybrid.

I would on any flagship vehicle. No matter what repair its going to cost you a lot so might as well have it.

Be careful, To be eligible for a Lexus Extended Warranty the car with 35k mileage still must be less than 4 years from the first date in service. Most but not all 08's are past the eligibility date for extended warranty contract eligibility.

I don't own a 600h (I have a 460) but I wouldn't keep an off warranty 600h, especially the 1st and 2nd generation.

But with a 460, warranty is secondary to religious maintenance (if important at all).

Lexus and Toyota are pushing hybrid technology..the hybrid warranty is good for 8 years. I don't regret buying mine but I did buy it CPO and I am good to 125k or 2017...in 2017 I'll buy a 2014 LS Hybrid. Some inside master tech sources tell me that Lexus doesn't want attn to hybrid issues and on a 600hL especially..the flagship.. and they are confident Lexus will "take care of you" past warranty for hybrid related issues. The car is built like a tank..I'm happy I bought mine. Go for it!!

You were correct, they checked the first in service date and eligibility had just expired. So I guess I'll keep my 460.
