Question About to cross 100,000 mile mark...

I have a 2007 LS 460L Just curious if anyone else has crossed that mark with success, who has the most miles, when should I get concerned about mileage... Any problems?

I've had most of the service done at the dealer (except oil changes) - the spark plugs changed at the dealer at 75k miles... Only issue has been tire wear which I've figured out.

Also any advice on a 100k+ warranty? My Credit Union is offering a Mercury Platinum Warranty for additional 48,000 miles for $2,538.

I have 102000+ Miles on it now and have not changed anything but oil and brake pads. I should probably replace my plugs soon. Drive and ride just like factory except with 22" and drop

Default 100,000 miles

100,000 is just another number. No reason it should be of any concern. As long as you keep up your maintenance schedule, you should have many more pleasant miles ahead of you.

Welcome to the 100K club!

I have over 139K on my 460 she still rides new! I make sure she has all of her checkups done, I had the oil changed on last Fri and she has a clean bill of health. The 460 is a reliable car, miles are just miles when it comes to this car. I had the plugs changed at a little before 110K other than that general maintenance items…

-Air filters
-Cabin filters
-Oil changes
-Brake pads
-Front rotors
-Brake line flush
-Super long life coolant replaced
-Rear diff fluid top off
-Tires
-Battery

Anybody worried about this car after 100K don’t, I even took my LS430 over a 100K before it was totaled and it was fine. I will post the actual milage when i get back in the car.

WOW that's a LEXUS! I should not be WOWing (lol - not even a word), it's a LS and that should be expected. That was the main reason I purchase this car over the others. Reliability is in the heart Lexus family cousin of Toyota!

Thanks for the words of encouragement...any thoughts on warranty? I have Mercury now and they were good about paying for my driver lumbar replacement... thinking I'll just renew for another 48,000 miles...

LOL!

Yep I stay in the burbs my commute is over 30 miles one way, also I have taken road trips and the ATL is so spread out you get use to it. Last I bought the car to deal with my bad commute to make it better and I love driving the 460!

Ok I thought I was over 140K not there yet but soon I will be.

***** Quick question about the oil changes. I have getting mine done at the dealer. However, I would gladly do them somewhere else. Do you know if places are able to reset the settings on the car or not? ****

Thanks,

Never worry about a Lexus's longevity man! Shhhh will ride forever as long as you do the normal maintenance and all that jazz! Can't way that about these new Benz's and BMW's!

It should be in the manual but here it is...

Make sure the trip odometer is NOT on 'Trip A' (ie: just the normal ODO). With the ignition off, press and hold the reset button. Press the 'Start' button twice without pressing the brake, but while holding the reset button. The dash will let you know its reseting, just keep holding the button until it is done.

To lazy to type my own so I just copy and paste from "onepointon" post.
