Are people here still trying to convince him to get the same wheels all around? Go with staggered if you like it and type the front and rear tire specs on a wheel size calculator and you will see it can work because they are the same.

i had 22x10 +40 all around with no issues. rode around with the data systems controller at setting 6.
you can do staggered all day long as long as the overall diameter of your tires front and rear are the same. hankook's v12 evo in 245/35/21 and 285/30/21 will work.

I've been thinking more about the 21 route over 22, but I'm not doing a data controller.
With 10's up front and back, will the tire stick out more up front than it will in the back and look 'off' or not so much? Did you have any rubbing with 10's up front and back like someone else mentioned earlier?

running staggered-width wheels on this car is mostly a stylistic choice. most people like the slightly larger lip look out back, which emphasizes the fact that the car is RWD.
you could do the staggered-offset route, where the wheel is the same width all around but with different offsets, giving the illusion that the rear is wider than the front (bigger outer lip), but you'd have to order the wheels that way and requires some math.
and no, i had no rubbing issues at all, but i was running a smaller tire than most on this forum (255/30 all around vs a 255/30 and 295/25 stagger)

Bringing this thread back to life. So is anyone running a staggered setup on an AWD LS460 or 600? If overall tire diameter is the same, then is the heavier weight of the rear wheel the
issue at that point? Is there truly a 1% tolerance within the computer of the AWD system? Is the AWD system on the LS different than the IS/GS?
Staggered looks so damn good..I see the Japan scene has plenty of staggered setups on the 600s, but I can't find anything definitive on this specifically.about the LS

I have a set of staggered Vossens ready with tires in my garage, problem is the front tires are 245/30/22, well below the 98 load index required of the 600..but, willing to put them on for a couple days to see if the car throws a code or acts funny. The 245/30 and 295/25 have the exact same overall rolling diameter, but I can't run that 245 long term or at real high speed with that 600lb heavier car..maybe it's not that serious, but I'm trying to do staggered the right way when it comes to this 6 Hun

Quick update, with the new 305/25/22 size option, for those with AWD and who want 22s that don't have super aggressive fitment with low offsets, the 255/30/22 front and 305/25/22 rear sizes are pretty much perfect to keep the 460 and 600 AWD system happy with nearly identical dimensions (rolling diameter wise). Been running this setup for many months and no issues whatsover. Delinte Tires sold by various ebay sellers and my personal choice (Vittore Wheel and Tire) out of North Caroline offer these tires very cheap. 305s run $171 each with free shipping and I absolutely love these tires.
Side note, for us 600 owners, the heavy weight of the car requires slightly different load ratings. Stock is a load rating of 98. The 255/30/22 is rated at 95 and the 305/25/22 is rated at 101 index. Although 265s would be a little better for the front at 97 rating, the dimensions don't quite match up, but the 95 255 size appears to be plenty adequate based on my experience. Plus, that 305 width in the rear for the staggered setups looks great IMO. If you have a square setup (same width wheels all the way around), I would go 265/30/22 for all 4 corners to give you that slightly extra sidewall.

Then how do staggered wheels work in lamborghinis? The aventador is AWD running 19x9 and 20x12, the rears are also taller (355/25/20 vs 255/30/19). Power distribution is 40/60% to the wheels. The lexus has a torsen lsd with power distribution of 40/60% also.

This lsd should be able to accomodate a staggered set up. but who wants to try??? I ran 265/30/22 and 295/30/22 at stock height and the ride was fine. but the fitment of 255/30/22 and 305/25/22 looked better and i can fit the fronts in.
