I think you are right,I am in my early 30's,every LS driver i have seen must be 50's+,it might have to do with the demographics of where I have lived, seen a fare share of S550's and 750's all done up but no modded LS's

Don't buy a BMW unless you want to take it to the dealer all the time. I sold my last BMW a 2009 X5 twin turbo diesel. It was in the shop overnight 10-12 times in one year. I also made 30-40 trips to the dealer with different problems. Check engine lights and electrical problems. The battery wouldn't stay charged as well.

Good luck!

This is why I've always told friends before they buy a car completely new to them to arrange to borrow a demo for the weekend. You can't tell how a car will drive on a 15 minute ride with a salesperson droning on in your ear the whole time.

(Unfortunately this has not worked with my wife. She falls in love with a car at first sight and there is no dissuading her. She doesn't even test drive the damn thing! )

this was my previous car:

I loved it, dum hot girls loved it...over two years of ownership i paid about 15k in repairs, plus the cost of the car; ended up selling her for 6k, Then got E66 745-thought since my 750 was a 2000 and 745 is 2006 i ll be ok....big mistake not even gonna go to what POS that was, its not even worth posting pictures of....2 months of hell and waist of money and more importantly time that I dont have.

My 07 460l is faster then 06 745 stock & 01 750il (v12 with bolt on mods) and the only thing I dont like is the boaty drive and slower throttle response, both easily taken care of with some coils and exhaust.

FYI since there seems to be a lot discussions about age I just turned 25 2 months ago.

i guess depends on the definition of difference. between the 3 you won't get a m3 feeling, but there is clear noticeable difference between the 3.

And yes my car is stock
yes, one thing i want to stress is there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the ls460 at all. i know plenty of people who wants nothing but a smooth ride, my god lexus is the best hands down. but i also know some who needs the space and prestige and yet wants the fun, bmw is their answer for example.

at the same time, the ls460 is a very capable car. it is fast and it handles very well (i have killed a lot of cars in my ls460l). i don't think there is any doubt in that. however, that doesn't mean the car provides you with the right feedback that gives you the confidence, which most of the time is what makes a car fun to drive. on that note, the ls drops off the list quick. if anything, the new gs has great driving feel.

when i had my ls460l, it caught attention everywhere, people stared. however every weekend when i got into our gs350, i said to myself damn this is a freaking fun car. well, didn't take long for the ls460l to go -- and the m3 replacement few months later

I think a Panamera Turbo S would be a better long car that is sporty. The S and 7 feel about the same to me except their sport counter parts Alpina B7 and S63 AMG. But I mean on the freeway all cars are bland to me. My LS gave me plenty excitement after a car wash when an unexpected shower came and I got on the highway and hit the government set speed limit to dry the car off. Try doing a U-turn at 40 as well that should get your adrenaline pumping. Be cautious of the 8k+ suspension bill if a curb is within a mile however...

I have a 08 bmw 535 nice car but the maintance is expense and the dealership are a pain in the Axx. The car ride is more sporty and interior is ok nothing like my Lexus LS460ls. The 5 is noiser and drinks more gas then my lexus. My LS 460LS is my work car. My 03 BMW Z4 is a great car when I want top down driving and racing around curves. Also great MPG. When I want to have real fun and want to open it up I pull out my 08 Corvette. My vette gets better gas millage than my 5 . In the past I have had BMW 745, Audi A6, A8, Cad CTS, Porsche 911, Merc E and S class and even a Austin Martin. If anyone want comparison I will gladly do so. I have to say the Lexus is the best Lux car for the dollar out there. I love cars and my wife hates when I get near a dealership. She know I still have the hots for an Audi R8 but maybe down the road.
