Okay so progress is being made,i met up with my boy this morning at 8:00 & we finished at 4:20 so it was a very long day,any way here's what we got done today....sorry in advance for crappy iphone pics
First thing we take out one headlamp & get to work on the wire harness..
After we tackle the harness we give it a test run..everything works?? no codes?? afs works?? Check
While we had the bumper off we tackled the fog lights, they now run the led/drl's withouth headlamps all from the headlight switch without having to run a seperate switch
Voila the outcome..
Gonna do LED drl bulbs the low output 9005 sux bigtime..
So next up is putting the car in the shop to paint the front & rear bumpers & install the rear lights,we thought about just doing the rear & leave the finish panel unpainted but this is not a civic so i'll wait & get ti done all together, the car goes in the shop on the 27th of this month so the next update will be in march..
P.S. The bumper is different between the years right under the washer on the old headlights so for now we used a dremel to open it up a tad so technically it can work but the gap look pretty bad IMO i'm super OCD with my cars so i'm glad i have the bumper...if someone is gonna try this do yourself a favor & just spring for the newer bumper, grill & fogs..

Wow..that looks good..that gap doesn't seem terrible and should be able to be reduced somehow..was the headlight rewire a PITA or not so bad? Was it more or less to get the LEDs to light up properly? Are these the more yellowish LED DRLs or more pure white like Audi's have?

Now the gap from a far or at a quick glance isn't noticable..the actual gap comes from where the headlight washer used to be it's on a upsweep/bulge we had to dremel the corner & sorta force it a bit to put the side clips in,again it's not that bad for a old cheap beater but on a flagship sedan the gap is a no go.
