Default Help! Where is TPMS sensor in LS 460?

Does anyone know where is the tpms sensor located in our cars?
I Want to disable it...
Has anyone disabled their tpms?

sensors are in all 5 wheels built into the valve stem. This includes your spare.

You can have 2 sets of wheels and it will keep track, but I am not aware of being able to turn it off... not sure why you would want to, you paid for a very good safety feature.

I had 2 tps sensors go bad in the last 6 months and I am tired of paying to replace them. I on my LS 430 I was able to just unplug the module but I cant find in the 460.
Which gives me the freedom to change wheels when I want.

I thought the LS460 could only store 1 set of TPMS sensors?

According to my SA I must have the TPMS codes reprogrammed every time I switch tires from/to winters. Very annoying! There should be a capability to store two sets as other models/manufactures do.

Correcto-mundo. I had an '06 GS430 that could accommodate two sets of wheels via switch above passenger foot well.

Our "Flagship" LS460 doesn't have that feature.

come to think of it... my GS did have a switch.. I never used it, but presumed that the LS would.. interesting that it doesn't for as many flagships as there are in the colder states where people would want to switch tires.

Update... I went to Lexus and they were able to tell me where the tpms module is located. Unfortunately, merely unplugging it does not disable the tpms. There are two parts to the system, the ecu and the receiver.
The ecu is located behind the glove box, the receiver is supposed to be some where on the right side. Not sure whether in the door or in the B pillar.

I also discovered there is supposed to be a reset button in LS460 as there was in previous models as in the GS430... It's shown on the service manual but I could not find it. Its supposed to be in the driver footwell.

The button is right where your right knee is. Just stick your head down there and look up.

harder to see the reset, but you will definitely see the system volume ****, when you see that the reset is next to it.
