Default Little Smoke When Starting

This may not be a big issue but i recently got an 07 LS and noticed when i start it or sit at a light, it tends to have some smoke from the exhaust even when its hot outside. The car runs and drives fine but i was curious if anybody else has seen this from there cars or has had this issue?

I have an 07 as well (72,000 miles) and only had this when I jumped on it. The VSR has completely taken care of the issue. Did you have your VSR performed as of yet? not a fix per se, but curious.

What color is the smoke and does it do it after the engine is fully warm? Usually, when there is smoke under the circumstances you described, it will be black, white, or blue. Maybe one of the technician members will provide some input.

If it's white smoke, it's water vapor. If it's black smoke, it's oil......and that's not good.

Is it cold when it does it? Do you smell anything nasty when you back up? Most likely it totally fine but ask the dealer at your next service

Typically, blue/black smoke at start up is oil leaking pass the valve guides. Sort of normal for an older engine.

Blue smoke is oil, black smoke is carbon. He might just see condensation, which is normal...

Agreed and here is some smoke being caused solely by aggressive driving habits
