I too have been looking into this new Jag, but it's all about what one wants. Yes, the design is superior, no question about that. But I have been reading their forums and good Lord, these cars have way too many problems - in my view more than expected for a 1st year run. Popping sun roofs, 1,200 watt sound system playing just one side, very slow menu changes on the screens, no hard buttons to turn on seat heaters/coolers (gotta dive into menus), no door auto-close feature offered, no recliner back seats offered, no auto emergency break (one of my favorite features), no hold function, blue tooth nightmares, voice recognition sucks, the list goes on and on...

In terms of features, moving to an XJ is downgrading. It terms of style, power and handling it's an upgrade. In terms of headaches, depreciation and drive train reliability that remains to be seen.
