Does the remote work when the car is running? Did you notice if this worked after the other fuses were blown?
Because you say trunk and gas cap I would guess it's a voltage problem as in battery...remote doesn't open the gas cap.

After fuse bar blown recovery
Sorry guys here’s the details.
after I had the car bar fuse replaced. Here’s what happened.
1) mark levinson amp blown? No audio, no volume control but there is signal for radio and dvd.
2) trunk only opens from the inside console button only when the engine is on. But the first unlock from the console just opens the latch and the trunk doesn’t open automatically. So as I manually lift a little, it opens with the automatic motor and closes with the trunk close button on the edge of the trunk. After closing the trunk. Second try to open from inside the trunk opens normally automatically. When the car is off I cannot open from the console button or the remote key.
gas Door also doesn’t open simultaneously with the trunk operation.
I saw on YouTube about taking the negative terminal out from the battery and it resets the trunk function to work back to normal? Haven’t tried this yet since Kins of traumatizing touching my car battery after frying everything. Lol

If you don't know, there are multiple locations with fuse blocks on the LS. It's possible some fuses were blown and it's part of troubleshooting to check ALL fuses as "who knows" what else blew. For the trunk, it could be a latch part or a raise/lower lid part. Try a search on google adding Clublexus after the search term to narrow the search to this forum.

Did it ever do this?
I think you need to find somebody to help you with this in person because you don't seem too have much knowledge in this area.

I agree that trying to solve this requires a mechanic with hands on. You have, potentially, a complex series of issues found and unfound. Wish we could just come up with a solution for you but the reality is a reversed battery can damage many sensitive electronic components. Fuses don't always prevent damage. They only limit the amount of current. The LS is loaded with electronics controlling all systems. First step, before checking fuses is to have an OBD2 error code check. I say this because you might find a couple of fuses, replace them, only to have them immediately blow again without warning. It's a possibility. The error codes will help you toward creating and ending a potential list of undiscovered issues. I sincerely hope this helps you.

I really appreciate your sincere help. I pray God it would be solved today with the mechanic. God bless you
