Default LS460 Service Schedule Online?

I just realized, after owning my LS460 for a year, that they must have not given me the service manual/schedule. Of course I had 5000, 10000 and 15000 mile services (oil and filter and rotations) done. But after all this talk about 7500 mile changes etc I decided to consult my maintenance schedule AND I DO NOT HAVE ONE!

I am sure I can get one from the dealer, but am wondering if it exists online.

Thank you for the post. I have an 08. I wanted to know what services are actually performed at each servicing.

Oil Change and Tire Rotation should be done every 5k to 7.5k miles for the life of the vehicle.

Mostly everything else done on the car are "inspections" to generate income for the dealer.

Sure, someday you'll need brake pads, but since the brakes and steering are electric, there's far LESS maintenance required on this car than pervious models. Even the transmission fluid "never" needs to be replaced.

Since I want to keep my car for a long time, I do take it to the dealer once every 15k miles just for diagnostics to make sure nothing is wrong. Oil changes and tire rotation I have done elsewhere (under my supervision).

Of course the other concept is to follow the dealer maintenance schedule and pay the money in order to maybe, possibly get a break on service or a new purchase or lease in the future.

Either way, this car was designed for low maintenance.

Jlawr,

Good post! That's about what I do. Occasional dealer visits but mostly local oil, filter and rotations. Your point about a possible "break" on service or the next purchase is good too. Rarely is any "break" more than the market will bear ANYWAY and certainly never as much as the extra service premium paid if you use the dealer for any and all suggested services.

I agree, a lot of the checks and inspections are a rip off. I pick what I want done to my car. Most of that stuff is just gravy for the dealer and tech. I also only use factory filters. I don't use any of those quick lube places...

As you can see from my signature, I own three Lexuses.

I am very fortunate that in the Dallas, TX area there is a non-dealer Lexus Service Center (two locations). Davenport Motor Company is owned and operated by two brothers who are Lexus Techs that used to work for a local dealer. They formed their own service company that uses only Genuine Lexus parts and employs only Lexus Certified Techs who used to work at the local dealerships (let the dealership pay for their traing).

I've been going there for over ten years and my son's GS400 still drives like (almost) new! Their prices are way lower than any Lexus Dealer, and most importantly, they only do the service items that are necessary on my cars.

If you can find a trusted service center in your area, that's all you need to maintain your car in great operating condition!

I usually only visit my dealer now for warranty work.

Jlawr thank you for your information. I was billed 300 dollars for the 10,000 mile service. I was like damn, paid it and was like I won't be coming back here again. They replaced the AC Filter I think. Lord knows how expensive that was. You buy a Lexus so you won't have to repair a lot of the BS you would in other cars. I'll be getting my oil changed somewhere else for now on.

Search for these part numbers on line; you should be able to have them delivered to your door VERY in expensively:

10-15k miles:
Air Filter - Engine: 17801-38010 (you'll need two)
Air Filter - Cabin: 97139-50060 (make sure your system is on "recirculate" before removing)

5-7.5k miles:
Oil Filter w/ O-Rings: 04152-YZZA5
Oil Drain Plug Gasket: 90430-12031

Wiper Blade Refill (still looking for OEM part number
