Default LS460 Gas Gauge Issue Any One Else Have This?

Strange thing happened today. My car was filled up and when I started it again the gas gauge showed the amount before fill up. Also the trip computer showing mileage after fill up, avg since fill up, range until empty etc. was as before it was when I refueled. I took it to service and they had to take the battery off line for 10 minutes and then the gauge read full again. However, now my computer tells my my mileage is 15.2 per gallon where before it averaged 20 or so. Any thoughts on whether this computer is fried, needs to be reset, etc. Has any one else experienced this? I find it quite strange. Thanks.

i don't know about before where gas gauge was stuck

but after disconnecting the battery, ecu is reset, that's why the gas mileage is not accurate. just like when i got my car, it took couple tanks for the gas mileage to become "reasonable"

^^ He's right. And make sure you select the MPG through the disp button and reset it every time you fill it up. That should take care of the readings being off.

^^ I meant the disp button on the steering wheel. By resetting it, the calculations will start off a clean slate and readings will be more accurate after the first tank of gas is gone.
