Thinking of picking up 13 LS F-Sport, but I can't decide if I should go with AWD or RWD (I don't need to have AWD), I know the technical detail, I just want to get some feedback from the owner. Much appreciated.

If your intention is to purchase an F-Sport then I would only buy it in RWD because it will perform better especially with the limited slip in the rear that the F-Sport comes with but that is only if you know how to apply power.

if you don't need awd, then don't get it, stay with rwd. i test drove the awd, the car feels heavier and slower and i couldn't feel how awd was benefiting me

RWD. AWD has more driveline drag, giving less fuel economy and slower acceleration. Beware the Brembo brakes and air suspension (both std. on F), as they are more trouble than they are worth for this type of car if you plan to keep it past 50k.

I have an awd drive and very happy with it, but mine is not f sport. I wanted awd for Colorado winters. If you are looking for a sports car feeling and want to stay in the house of Lexus, then I would go with either the RCF. But if you really want the LS, and sporty as it gets, then do the f sport. I know you didn't mention the RCF, but I want you to remember that the LS is not a sports car. Just keeping it real

My rule of thumb is the same with most; AWD only if you need it. RWD are a bit less costly to repair/maintain, easier to resell down the road, and easier to put wider wheels on rear if you want a staggered look. If you still have your 4Runner or Pilot and either of them 4x4, then it's a no brainer.

I would have gotten RWD if there were any in my region. All are AWD.

My RWD CPO 2011 Sport came from CA, I found it on lcpo.com, called the dealer and had it shipped to IL. Total cost to ship was $1080. I'd do this again in a heartbeat, it was painless.
