It's not a dumb question IMO, it's a valid one. Looking at the specs:

The LS 460 L is approximately 5 inches longer overall. They don't give exact legroom figures I guess because it depends on how far the front seats are moved forward or back.

It could be the ducting, but the rear cooler is standard for the Exec. Package (at least for Canadian specs), the way they put it above, it's as if you can opt out of the cooler box, & you can get a cooler box for the 5-seater with just the rear-seat upgrade . . .

RXSF, maybe we need cars side by side, but several times i looked at my car and the exec package, the trunk seems the same. and in the spec is says rear seats upgrade OR exec package, that makes things even more confusing

MAYBE.... the rear seat upgrade is the one with the power rear seats with memory and cool box. The Exec is the power rear seats with the ottoman and cool box

My exec seat has the (very) small trunk. I think my Civic Hybrid has a larger trunk. 
Of course, the back seat is so large it can fit suitcases on the floor and on the seat at the same time. Just don't pick up three passengers with three big suitcases at the same time. LT
