I've never driven the LS460 so I can't compare with that. I've driven a 1992 and a 1999, but those don't compare.

Compared to the GS450h that I've driven, the LS600hL definitely feels like a ship The test drive was brief, so I didn't get a chance to really try the handling of this car, but the power the engine has makes you forget about the weight. It almost seemed agile.

The interior feels exactly the same as the LS460.

I pushed the START button multiple times because I thought the car wasn't starting up. Then I was told to put the car in gear, and the car started moving it was that quiet. No NVH at start-up whatsoever.

I don't think the car will be there anymore. I asked for the car to be shown to me, so he took it out, but he will be keeping the car at his place until the review is done.

now that's insanely quiet man very nice!!!!

so between the 450h and the 600hl, do you feel that the 600hl being faster, significantly or about the same?

Should be pretty close, I think the best time published for the 450h is 5.2 sec. 0-60 right ? Road & Track got 5.4 sec. for the 600hL.

honestly, I do feel that the LS600hL is slightly quicker. But feeling quicker doens't equal better acceleration time I guess. It might feel quicker due to the torque, but the actual performance might not be as good.

But yes it does FEEL faster, slightly. That is amazing, especially since the LS is such a huge cruiser.

Great info. How did the tranny feel? How about dreaded Lexus hesitation on punching it?

Oh and Henry - no surprise it's quiet after pressing start as the gas engine isn't running.

I suppose the GS450h would feel more agile ? being about 1000 lb. lighter than the 600hL ...

the tranny was seamless. the gas engine was also incorporated seamlessly. everything was so smooth, it was like driving a piece of butter.

as for hesitation, it is better than the ES330 that I drove a few days ago, but worse than my GS. I don't know if that's a valid comparison in any way

my drive of the GS450h was longer, and took more corners and swerve around. the GS was definitely more agile. But the LS600hL was more surprising if you ask me. Or maybe the LS460 was already equally impressive, just that I've never driven one.

very nice, seems like the cvt is doing its job, lol

to me i think the "feel" counts more, i don't drive with a stop watch anyway. the more tq the better coz' that "feel" is awesome

They are blue accents, it's to signify that it's a hybrid model.

What kind of hesitation do you mean? Is this the downshift hesitation on medium acceleration?

I thought that because of the CVT, there'd be NO hesitation.....
