I know it's still new, & not many have seen all the color combinations in person, including me. I have only seen Obsidian Black, Black Sapphire, White, silver & Noble Spinel Mica on the LS460 in person so far. As for interior, I have only seen the black & the cashmere in person.

Black on black is nice, but I have ruled it out after seeing the Black Sapphire Pearl in person, what a beautiful paint
Had they offer something like the Diamond Black paint for the 05 SC430 PB special edition for the new LS, I would love to have black on black, but the Obsidian just don't quite do it for me.

I also love the Noble Spinel Mica on the LS460 as well. I have yet to the see the LS460 in Smoky Granite Mica in person, but having seen the paint on the IS350, I can imagine how good the paint will look on the LS.

I think my top 3 choices right now are the Black Sapphire, Noble Spinel & the Smoky Granite. Have yet to see the LS460 in Verdegris Green, gold, the Truffle Mica & the Glacier Frost ( the last 2 available in Canada), Truffle Mica would be interesting to me, but I doubt it will displace my top 3 choices above.

As for interior, either black or cashmere would be acceptable to me, depending on the exterior paint I choose. I don't want another off-white leather interior like the Alabaster (my SC430 has the Ecru), the leather is nice for a luxury car, but one high maintainence interior is enough for me, plus I am not sure I would like the dark brown ash burl wood.
As for the grey interior, I never like grey leather on any car, & in the LS460's case, the Grey Bird's eye Maple wood trim that comes with it doesn't make it any better.

I won't be getting the new LS at least a year from now, but at present, I would pick one out of Black Sapphire on black, Smoky Granite on black, and Noble Spinel Mica on either cashmere or black leather.

Black Sapphire Pearl (followed by the Black, SGM, then Starfire) IMO is the best color for this car. Looks absolutely stunning. It looks great with all of the chrome trim.

I like the Grey interior. Not because of the grey leather, but because of the wood. Its so damn glossy and beautiful. Unbelieveable in person.

Wish I that wood was available for the black interior.

The ultimate LS460L "flash,pizzazz" combination is touring package 19" wheels, black obsidian exterior with white leather.

I saw both the Black Sapphire and the Smoky Granite. I had initially gone to the Pohanka Lexus dealership with a leaning toward the Black Sapphire. I went straigt inside the dealership where it was on display and thought it looked very sharp. Then I stepped outside and saw a 460L in Smoky Granite. It looked spectacular! I wasn't sure now which was the nicer color. I would have liked to look at the Black Sapphire under the direct sunlight but this wasn't possible. So I did a quick poll of the people in the dealership, including employees, to help me make my choice. The Smoky Granite won.

Sorry, I just went by the color combinations listed as available by Lexus.ca, thus the Truffle Mica & Glacier Frost not available in the US are listed, but I guess some combinations available in the US are not. I probably should have listed all possible combinations

There's one combination missing, the Smoky Granite Mica / Alabaster. It's just stunning IMO.

Hard to choose for me. I love the current combination of the grey/green and cashmere on the LS430. This means, I'll continue the vote with Verdigris Mica. However, I love the grey wood that is matched with the Alabaster interior. This would be my first choice. Coming in a close second would be Truffle Mica with Alabaster.

My husband and I just got the SWB in Verdigris Mica with the Alabaster and Dark Brown Ash Burl wood trim. The color combo is absolutely gorgeous.

The Alabaster comes with the Dark Brown Ash Burl wood trim. The grey wood comes with the light grey leather.

actually, you can get the alabaster with grey wood, cuz we got it! i have yet to see it offered on lexus.com, so i'm not quite sure how we got it. IMHO it's a very stunning color combo. and, i particularly like the fact that the alabaster comes with grey floor mats.
