Does your horn still work? It could be the clock spring needs replacement.

According to the Owner's Manual, if the SRS warning light stays on, you have problem with one of your front airbags...

Digging a bit deeper, I found that there are many many reasons the SRS Warning Light may come on. Attached is the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) table that can be useful for your troubleshooting. You will need a OBDII reader to read the DTC from your car. If you don't have a DTC reader, stop by an auto parts store (like AutoZone) and ask them to read the DTC for you. You can use the DTC to narrow your troubleshooting effort. Please come back and let us know what DTC you're getting...

Attached is the troubleshooting procedure for B0101. Please note the following possible outcomes:
1. Replace airbag sensor assembly.
2. Replace steering wheel pad (D squib).
3. Replace spiral cable (clock spring).
4. Replace instrument panel wire.

I'm having this same problem. My airbag light came on a few days ago and has stayed on. I have an appointment this week for service anyway so I'm going to have them troubleshoot it. It sounds expensive though...

"Open in D squib circuit" to me, means there's an electrical open circuit in the Driver's side squib circuit. If an electrical circuit is open, the circuit's not complete, and there's something that's not going to work. I have no knowledge if the D means driver's side, but just reasonable logic. The squib circuit is the "firing" circuit aka the mini-explosive charge that makes the whole sequence of the airbag inflate, blowing off the cover to the steering wheet, etc.

Not only is working on the squib circuit dangerous because it's literally an explosive charge, but this is 1 component of the car that I personally would take to the dealer to troubleshoot/repair.
