Mounted New Wheels... The Jury Is Still Out

The rims don't rub, John. And honestly if someone does their homework and uses a reputable dealer, they should be able to purchase aftermarket rims that don't rub. Oh, and as far as OEM not rubbing;
My 2001 GMC Sonoma with the ZQ8 package (Wider 8.5 inch rims and lowered suspension) originally came with 235/5516 tires which did rub on the wheel wells. I got so tired of it that I went with a taller/narrower tire.
Tirerack does a pretty good job of investigating what wheels will fit which vehicles, so I've purchased from them with success. Yes, someone could buy rims for their car that would cause problems, but that's true about any aftermarket part. However, I'm going to stay on topic with this thread...

Of course any reputable eTailer is not going to sell something that doesn't work. They're also going to warn when appropriate, and they are reluctant to sell < 4 tires (this shows integrity over profit--they want to know why you are buying < 4).
This is simply a OZ Ultraleggera 18x8 with 35mm offsets, and 245/45-18's (stock size). I see the "Important Notes" come up for various rims whenever the offset is < 42mm, which is most rims for the LS430.Important Notes Aggressive fitment. Front may rub when turning while suspension is compressed

Yeah, I'm not doing any autocross with the car, so I don't think I'll see any issues there. I'm still not sure how they figure the rim would rub on the suspension before the tire would...?

Actually these are made by a company called Platinum. They're 17X7.5 wheels with standard 225/55/17 tires

I like them. I think they look much better than the OEM rims that came with that year. I think that the drilled rotors showing is cool. two thumbs up.
