Default 02 Acceleration issue car rpm gets stuck

Hello everyone, I'm posting for a friend. He has a 2002 LS 430 and it has an issue. Once he goes WOT his car rpm sticks in one spot pausing for a while then it accelerates normally. I've attached a video to show the issue.

We are aware of the issue with the brakes, the check engine reveals a code in relation to the brakes. No codes related to the engine. Can someone please chime in on what might be the issue?

https://youtu.be/47im_nNgOkw

Thanks.

You have several lights lit on the dash, check engine light, park brake (both light and display) and VSC (both light and display). Many of the systems and monitors on the LS are inter-dependent, so one issue may cause two or more faults. Have you checked the obvious, like the air filter? Other possibles: throttle position sensor, throttle body needs cleaning, mass air flow sensor dirty or fail.

Scan tool is your best friend there, that throttle hang definitely looks electrical related. Your local auto electrician will be able to do that for you, especially when you have that many fault lights on
