2001 LS 430 Mark Levinson Amplifier Problem
I have a 2001 LS430 with the Mark Levinson Stereo system and the radio turns on when it wants (usually within 12 minutes). Now when I touch the volume control ****, it raises the volume immediately to the highest level. I'm assuming this is a problem with the amplifier. Has anyone encountered this problem and is there a good solution to repair the problem?

This is just a complete guess, but if turning the volume wheel immediately set its to maximum volume then it might be an issue of the volume potentiometer or digitizer that reads your volume rotations of the wheel. Might be easier to take the radio head out and clean out the volume pot.
Not sure about the turning-off-after-12-minutes thing however. That one might be a leaky/bad cap in the amplifier in the trunk.
