ls430 vs gs350
Hey guys, my 2004 LS430 is running great and I love it. 125K on her. At the time i debated getting a GS but liked the LS more. Now it seems you can get a GS350 around the same price as 04-06 LS430 with nav. I'm having second thoughts only bc the gas mileage is better than our cars and it has the same if not more horsepower. Now if i were to get a gs350 it would be AWD as i already have rwd and in NJ it could come in handy. I guess what I'm asking is....any reliability concerns with awd gs350? trans? axles? engine as strong/reliable as the famous 430?
I bought the car with 124k: put seafoam in it, changed cabin and air filter, 8 spark plugs, and hood struts. runs great

I looks to me like you bought the wrong car, if you are even thinking about this. After only 1,000 miles you should be happy as can be ! The AWD GS350 won't deliver significantly better gas mileage. Sure, AWD is an advantage, but 4 good snow tires might be something to consider, if you don't have them now.
I looked at the GS before my LS, but it lacked the luxury I wanted.

I test drove (and almost bought) a GS430. Lots of fun but a different universe. Snug fitting seats, high trans tunnel, etc. It handles great. Know that engine sound well. Nice example of a luxury sports car.

Its not that i bought the wrong car but being winter AWD is nice and GS350 has a V6 with more power than our v8. I love the LS but itd be nice to have a lil better gas mileage n awd. Im jw if gs350 are as reliable as the ls430. I drove a corvette 3. Yrs rain and snow so i dont have an issue driving the LS everyday, i enjoy taking traction control off n fishtailing
