I noticed that my coin tray (left hand side near mirror controls) would not stay closed. The little "J" shaped latch behind the button had broken for no apparent reason and the piece was on the floor. I have never heard of this happening but no big deal as I found a pre-owned one on Ebay for under $50. Part number matches my '03 ML/Nav w/66k. Now I have to figure out how to remove the old and install the new. Shouldn't be too difficult but has anyone else experienced this?

Actually, you do not need to pull the lower panel. Just pull the parking brake to get access to the two 10m bolts. Your diagram was very helpful, thank you.

cool, I think our cars are worth fixing back to original. My buddy convinced me on that with the cupholders (I was going to do the Family Dollar screw a piece into the broken one route)....
