I personally think thats much too high for what it is, especially with the miles. Those air struts are just waiting to go. The exterior/ interior combination is beautiful though.

Based on prices in my area (SF Bay Area) that is $3K too high (and that's ASKING prices, not SELLING prices!). You guys that live up north would know better than me but it seems like I probably wouldn't buy any car that was 164K miles all northern! BTW, there's a 2001 LS430 for sale on CL in SF Bay Area for $3500 asking. That seems way low for a car - it has 351K miles on it!! So, hey, even a 164K mile car I suppose can be low mileage for an LS430.

Based on what I just sold my '02 UL w/ 165k for, he is about $3,000 too high. Granted, it looks like it is in great condition and lovingly maintained but 165k is 165k. '02 and '03's with half that mileage can be had in the $7 to 8k range.

I loved my UL, however, many UL and non-UL items start to show wear at that mileage. The air suspension may work but the compressor will be very noisy. It becomes more likely that the double-pane side glass will become cloudy. Other suspension parts may need replacement. If timing belt has been replaced around 90k, a second timing belt service with water pump is coming soon. The issues of older LS's, both UL and non-UL, have been extensively discussed on this forum.

Those on this forum seem to focus on option package and colors. Mileage should carry more weight. I was fortunate and replaced the '02 UL w/ 165k with a pristine '03 Nav/ML with 65k. It's like turning back the hands of time.

My thoughts exactly.

I'm inclined to not buy an all northern one either...haha.
