Broke down and bought some brochures
Was reluctant as I had gotten many since being 8 yo, all free, but never had the wherewithal to keep organized. So hate paying for them.
got a 1990 Lexus full line, 1998 Lexus full line, 2006 Lexus Full line, and 2006 LS430. Cost 29.xx shipped...I believe they are all new....guess I'm into this Lexus thing! The significance of 1998 is that I bought my first new car, a 1998 Maxima SE 5 spd. I saw a 1998 GS400, and thought it was the most beautiful car on the road (not in my realm at that time so I admired them when Insaw on the road)...

I know what you mean. I've got a couple of boxes of brochures that I picked up from car shows starting back in the '80s and through the early part of the '00s. Need to go through those and see if I have any Lexus stuff for my 2004...

It's even possible that I had a 2006 LS brochure at one time, which I paid over $15 for! I remember getting some nice black thing that resembles the owner's manual holder at an event. I never saw myself getting a Lexus and likely tossed any brochures from the event, which was summer 2005. I definitely have 3 copies of the 1998 Maxima brochure, no idea where they went. And soooooooo many BMW brochures over the years, all the way back to the 320i, but mostly 2000+. I just thought it'd be nice to have the actual brochure for the 2006 LS430 (since I got one a month ago), so what the heck, I'll keep it somewhere safe.....
edit--interesting development, the seller on eBay just refunded me $2.99 for shipping, without me asking. Apparently, the system grouped the brochures into 2 orders, each with a $2.99 shipping charge. he sent everything together, and refunded $2.99. It's pretty cool when "a" or "the" system works! Now just apply the same principles to something that's $29.90 or $29,900, and we're all happy

Nice! I have something like that on the 2008 BMW 750i, hardcover. Again, where it is, I don't know, but it's definitely in the house. Budgets were big back then for marketing--went to a launch of that vehicle, fancy hors d'oeuvres, alcohol, and such, dramatically yank the cover off the car to oohs and ahs. Also went to such an event for the 2006 BMW 330i and 325i....the 330i was so hot, that Lexus had one at their event in summer 2005, and the line was huge to drive that car. Now imagine a car that hot, is sitting in my garage undriven for the most part....(I'm just preserving it I guess and take it out in fair weather)...

I'm looking forward to getting the LS brochure in particular, since mine is an '06. I was surprised how quickly Toyota sent a brand new owner's manual free of charge (do they not have brochures?)?
Here's another one that I have, again, no clue where, but definitely not thrown away.....(mine are mostly BMW with others like Nissan, MB, etc.)

All this discussion about brochures got me looking so I pulled the trigger on a 2005 LS430 full brochure. There's also a 2001 I'm looking at, so we'll see...
Cool stuff. It makes for great bathroom reading material...

I do find it funny, to be so enthusiastic, about something that costed $14,000 and change. I truly believe I pulled a serious cost-avoidance for my family by getting the LS430--I started with wanting a GTI, then Golf R, then M2 (totally justified the 52k sticker), then used M3 sedan. At minimum, I avoided spending in excess of $40k, and only spent $14 and change. And, Lexus treats me like a rock star!! Thank you Lexus, for changing my life forever hahahahahahaahahaha

You're experience about paying a fraction of the cost for a high end, well designed, crafted and built vehicle from a top end manufacturer is pretty much why we're all here.
Ok, granted, some have the funds to purchase them new, but most of us don't and are thrilled to pick them up used from owners that took great care of them and had the funds to keep up the maintenance.

We acquired our '01 LS430 used from a Lexus dealership in '04. It had 60K miles coming off a lease but Lexus would not do a CPO warranty due to the "excessive" miles. We got a good price at the time and have never looked back.... I like this model more the LS460 the wife is now driving... I plan to keep it for a long time and will invest in fixes and upgrades/mods a long as I can....
