"QUALITY" L.E.D. license plate bulb?
Does anyone have any recommendations of a l.e.d. 194 style bulb that lasts more than a few months? I'm always replacing these flickering p.o.s. I've tried a few different brands, but haven't found one worth sticking with.

I've had some older model VLED's in the 5K range that have been going for about 6 years. These aren't the "high power" types so they pretty much match output of an incan 194 level bulb. The later ones are high output and for license plate use they are way bright. My one nit pick is that the color temp may be slightly different so it helps when they have multiple emitters. I have a few single emitter ones and wound up buying multiple pairs to get the color temp to match up.

I think the key is finding a reputable led brand like Cree or Samsung and an established seller that's not just selling knockoffs.
I can't remember what I got for mine, but it's held up well. I would make sure it's a pure white color, and not blue/white and also I would not do the really super bright ones. A super bright license plate LED overpowers everything else and looks ricer.
Just a standard white led light looks nice and updates the look of the car quite a bit.

Mine looks just like 5t341th. I just replaced it with the whole housing LED and they have been working great. I was skeptical at first before buying it for quality issues, but noticed that they're all probably sourced by the same supplier. They are white, definitely brighter but looks more up to date with the newer Lexus'. I just did the 194 on my truck by Philips, and they look nice but has less output.

To install it you just have to remove that trunk bar. Its held in by 4 nuts with plastic clips. You access it under the trunk lining of the deck lid. Then lights just pop out and you replace with the new ones.
