why does the coolant reservoir have two chambers
Did a quick google and found one response was, to check if one is for coolant, the other for windshield washer fluid....

thanks...wife said I have trust issues. I looked at the reservoir and the coolant looked orange. Say what? GM? So I got me one of those Harbor Freight pumps ($5.xx when Lowes and amazon want $11.xx), and I removed it from both chambers. WTH came out pink. I have seen people post pics of their Prius coolant asking what is it, and it looks orange. Dunno, seems to have to do with lighting, as lighting is dimmer that part looks orange. Whatever, I guess I should have trusted the Lexus dealer. I didn't put the stuff back (I'm keeping water bottles with the before, after that I thought was orange, then the contents of the reservoir), then poured in my own new SLLC2 in, what a waste lol
edit: Went out again at 5 am in the dark to look. What I had filled with pink coolant, looked orange. Opened the radiator cap, it was orange. Again, the day before, I sampled the radiator with my antifreeze tester, it looked orange, but in the clear tester, pink. I didn't do that well in Chemistry, better in Physics, so I'm going to just accept it (online pics by others prove I am not totally crazy)....
