This wheel was available in 2003 as an optional wheel for the LS430 from certain dealers in the south. I think that they would look great on your LS and you would keep the same tires that you just purchased. They are easily available on the internet and ebay.

Just one more suggestion.....

Current style is fewer spokes (typically 5) and a more open look. Examples found on BMW 7 series, several MBZ. LS460 is also 5 spokes but w/ some detail. Might be able to get aftermarket that's in the same general style? My 04 came w/ 5 spoke 18's and looked "fresh". That's why I didn't keep the chrome 7 spoke 17's I had. Bought silver 6 spoke 17's (w/ good tires) for 500. Had my Premiers installed. That's what I have now. Looks better but JMO.

Yeah, big cost to go "modern". The 18's estimated 250 x 4. The Michelins est 1,000. Yeah it does look better but worth it? One possible is swap w/ someone who has 18s/5 spokes and wants to downsize to 17/6 spokes for slightly better comfort.

I've already got the 18's so am probably going to spring for the Michelin Premiers at some point.

See [17" non-oem wheels] thread. Wheels are Akita (Ak-7?) for approx 500 for set. Looks great, keep your tires. Hmm, looks interesting and can keep my Michelin Premiers.

I was surprised how expensive OEM 18's are USED......why I say that is again I bought 4 Michelin XICE Xi3's on 17x8 MSW rims for $93x. , everything included mounted balanced delivered. New snow tires, and new rims. 4 OEM used 18" rims cost more than that. Which are more functional.....I would argue the new snow tires on new rims...

These are the rims, they cost $112 each....I'll take a pic when on the car....right now, they are in the cardboard protectors and in my shed......honestly I prefer OEM 18's, but feel they are way overpriced as used, must be supply/demand (duh lol)

Yeah aftermarket wheels make sense price wise. Agree OEM looks better. Key is finding an aftermarket that looks good.

18 inch 5 star chrome factory 2004-06 ls430 wheels is the way to go, it makes the car look a little more intimidating.

Sorry! Pretty lame. I should have asked. It's such a great choice of wheels that wanted to pass it on. Also have the same year/color and the Akitas look really good

No worries, you dont need to ask. I still enjoy the wheels and for $ 500 new for all 4, well you cant beat it. The wheels have held up well and still look new after 4 years. It's proof you don't need to spend a fortune to get nice wheels.

So did the OP decide on a new wheel yet? I'm trying to figure out what I'll do in the spring when it's time to pull the snows off. I don't want to swap the wheels back to summer tires, so I'm looking for something in a 17...

Polished stock 18's are a nice upgrade. Wheel choice makes a big difference because a 430 is a very low key car. I saw a Cypress Pearl w/ 18" chrome 5 spokes. Bad match. All I saw were the wheels. Car pretty much faded into the background. Chrome/flashy looks good on a bright color (gold, white, black for instance) but looks terrible on Cypress Pearl.

Sorry .....Looks like I missed a several replies. Thanks to all for the suggestions. Basically it didnt take me very long to decide to just chill out. It doesnt make sense to spend 2k on tires and wheels for my car. Even 1k is too much.....my car looks sharp already....I could buy a darn nice tv for that 1k and get more enjoyment from it. Since I originally posted I did however curb rash another wheel picking up the wife at the grocery store....man did that **** me off!!!!! So now I only have 1 clean wheel out of the 4. I contacted a refurb co and they wanted $175.00 per wheel for the repair.......They stated that the paint match color costs $1000 per gallon!!!! I forgot the name of it....hyper silver I think. I will prob just do it myself this Spring and use Auto Zone silver for $10 per can
If anyone is selling their used stock 17" wheels let me know.....that might be an even better option.
