2004-2006 failing LED tail light fix....
As you all know the only solution USE to be to buy a new tail light. Well I love a challenge and I didn't stop until I came up with an solution.I searched high and low for a fix and no luck. So I said what the hell, and opened my completely dead tail light. Our LED's are ran in series so if one LED fails or becomes loose you lose an whole string or get the flickering. (loose led) The original leds are snapon / solderless.
They are no longer made so I went with a solder in place led which will prevent the flickering like the originals from becoming lose over time.
This tail light was completely dead!
(Dead link)
I went through and found all the ones that still worked and used those until the replacement led's I ordered came in.
They arrived today. I will update when I am done.

It seems the LED part# in this string is no longer available. I wonder if anyone else has successfully been able to repair this and could provide more details. I'm having the same issue, and would like to try and repair the light rather than swap it out.
If anyone can help let me know.
Thanks,

Chanzon manufactures variety of LEDs and here is a video which introduces to use a 10W LED.

Those LEDs are no longer available and I use Chanzon's LED of this when I fix variety of Toyota LED tail lights requested by local shops. It's a Chinese company and the quality is not as good as Japanese manufacturer Koito or Stanley but I'd say those are so-so level. Most of Toyota's tail light LED units are designed to consume about 100mA and Chanzon's 1W red LEDs are mostly OK.

Hi! I know this thread is for a different car, but my question is about the leds, and you guys seem to be experienced.
I am trying to repair my rx400h rear outers, and Im a little stuck here. There is nothing written on the leds to get the exact type. I found the datasheet of the snapled 150:
https://www.digchip.com/datasheets/d...mber=HPWS-FH00
There are 6 different type of it. Rx400h leds are tail and stop too. Do you guys know what would be the correct type to hunt for? I am trying to get some from china, to experiment with it, but I need a little help choosing the right ones.
I would be grateful, if any of you could help me out with it!

Can you post some pictures if the tail light?

You need to measure the voltage going to the LEDs and go from there. Way I read that data sheet is there are 14 different versions depending on required voltage. Also bin code 3 is the deepest red bin code 1 more orange.
If I had to guess, the red LEDs will be at about 2 volts but you need to verify.
