Default New member, AFS sensor location?

Hello! New member here! I just got a 2004 430 about 3 weeks ago and last week I had the timing belt, water pump and front rotors resurfaced and now 2 out of the last 3 times I've started my car the AFS light is flashing continuously for about a minute or so. Hitting the button does nothing. I've been able to find a few posts relating to this problem and if I read correctly the sensors are located in the wheel well? Is it possible the guys at Toyota could have knocked something loose? I haven't driven it at night but I went around to the front and the headlights looked level. I'm just learning about this car as its my first Lexus, not mechanically savy yet but trying to learn! Thanks for any help! Not sure if it makes a difference but it's not the UL.

It's likely that the ride height sensor for the adaptive headlights is faulty. Check this thread > https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-flashing.html

There are sensors with a mechanical arm on the front and rear (left / driver's side, I believe).

Tom, thanks so much! That was the thread I had found and there's some good info there, I guess I won't know unless I get it checked out😕. I'm just trying to learn as much as possible concerning all the components of this car as I can, being a woman and getting your car fixed is sometimes an interesting process....

The mechanical arm can get rusty at the point it enters the sensor module and fail, or hitting a pot hole can cause failure. The electronics inside the module can also fail. They're not cheap at the dealer, either.

Thanks again Tom, that gives me a starting point so I can look up some diagrams and really understand what I'm looking at and what I'm looking for!
