Default My new fabulous 06 LS430

Hi,

I previously had a 2000 LS400 for about 2 1/2 years and regrettably sold it and got myself into a 2016 IS200t lease. I was miserable the entire 8 month's I had the IS200t and wanted my big, comfy, GORGEOUS sedan back. I was able to get out of my lease and got into a very very low mileage 2006 LS430. We're talking 35,000 miles low. Its got every option available and is painted in Cypress Pearl. There was a forum on this car a few weeks ago and I got my hands on it.

It was owned by an older man who I guess barley drove it since its only got 35,000 miles on it in 10 years. Pic's below, she's absolutely gorgeous.

Congrats on the new ride.

8 horrible months? I took my sisters is250 on a 8 Hr road trip and I hated it. I just wanted to be back in my LS.

it looks like you got the Ultra Luxury package.

How much did you pay? I'm guessing over 20k. Considering it's the last year, UL pkg, super low miles, and 1 owner.

That is an awesome find. Doesn't get much better than that. Even if the price tag was 20k+ thats alot of car for the money. Id take that all day long over a new camry etc

Not just a UL, but it also has the pre-collision system ("PCS")!

Its got all the bells and whistles. I didnt even know cars had PCS back in '06! I got it for $21,998. They did offer a warranty but it was already expensive as is and getting out of the lease was a lot so I didnt purchase the warranty. I know a great service shop here in Ventura that I had my LS400 worked on. Its amazing, I am in love with this car. No regrets, I don't miss that little IS200 at all.

Congrats, and I totally know what you mean. We also have an IS that my husband drives, a 2011 IS350, and we never drive it anywhere when we go somewhere together. Ever. It's a great little rocket sports sedan, very solid and plenty luxurious, but it just doesn't compare to the LS experience.

I could drive the IS every day if I wanted to but I never do, like ever. 0-60 in 5 seconds flat, you'd think I'd play around with it more.

The IS is a great little car, don't get me wrong, but I think I was spoiled coming from another LS prior to it. Its just a whole different ride/style......and I really prefer the looks of the 430 over the IS

If they were offering an extended warranty that is backed by the Lexus dealer, that may be a good investment on that car long term on the Ultra model if it was a comprehensive policy.

The air suspension, ML sound system, PCS, Nav Unit, Power Mirrors etc are all big ticket items that do fail on these which would be nice to have a lexus dealer cover under warranty.

Thanks for that. I'm certain now that I got an excellent deal on my 05 UL.
