Got me a '03 after selling my '01
So I saw an ad locally for this beautiful gold 03 LS...one owner with only 106K miles. Went to check it out and was instantly impressed with it. Back at 90k, so many things were replaced: timing belt, idler arm, tensioner, alternator, battery, drive belts, engine seals, spark plugs, thermostat, water pump, brakes and tires. The original owner was a man in his 70's and he pretty much just replaced whatever was recommended at 30k, 60k, and 90k on the car. This one drove a little bit smoother than my 01 too. Got it for a good price at $8400. Sold my 01 for $6200.
Has the ML system and navigation. Only faulty thing right now is I'll need to replace the subwoofer (surprise, surprise). But I'm going to tint it and get remote start first. Love, love, love these V8 LS sedans!!

Thanks, yea I really liked the gray wood too...but I think I like the walnut wood better in the 01 lol.
I'll try to work my way up to the 04-06 one of these days...knowing the rate that I change cars it might come sooner than later haha.
And is it just me or does the whole Mark Levinson stereo system sound mediocre? Would almost rather rewire the system to aftermarket components if it is do-able.

Oh wow, just discovered that this one has the radar cruise control and door closer features, fantastic! Wonder what else I'll be surprised with on this car! It just gets better even though it's a 13 year old car.

Congrats on a killer deal!
Agree on low quality of ML audio. Have an '04 and it's not very good. Some of it is age. Maybe it was always played at high volume. We had ML in our '97 ES300. Sounded incredibly good. I'm going to fix the defective sub woofer (surprise, surprise) and maybe replace the whole system in the next 1-2 years. I have NAV. Cost est $1,500? Feedback appreciated from anyone that's done it.

Got it professionally detailed today...the leather seats got a good interior cleaning and the exterior is super shiny and nice now! But it's been parked in the garage for the last couple days due to the Seattle rain..don't want to dirty it up just yet lol.....maybe I can work on repairing the ML sub this week.

I think I saw the Craigslist ad for that car. Was it in the Shoreline area? I got my ML subwoofer re-foamed at Speakerlab on Roosevelt (was about $75) for the Parchment Crystal 2003 LS430 CL that I bought last year. I really like my ash interior. I was going to look at that LS because my wife wants my car and I need to find an LS for me.
