Default Leather trim

I love my 300,000km old LS, but the interior needs a tidy up and I can't find a trimmer anywhere that can source the leather required.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Probably not the best suggestions but here goes. One, try to find a used seat at a salvage yard. Buy it, strip off the leather cover and use it. Two, use a custom made sheepskin seat cover (blast from the past.) Three, I seem to remember a company that made leather seat covers that was mentioned very favorably on the LS400 forum. Try searching here and on Google for it. I believe it was leatherseats.com or similar.

I have used Katskins, on one of my Legends to redo the interior. It was actually really nice leather. The price ranges from 600-1500 depending on how much leather you want for the covers. It looks factory and has the option of embroidery and two tone. Lastly, you could take it to a leather repair shop and have them just repair the seat but sometimes that can get pricey too. Otherwise what sgretchko suggested is a good alternative to sticking OEM at a reasonable cost.

I did a quick search on ebay "LS430 seat" there is lots on there that could help you both new and used. Here is one for example that I found and its pretty inexpensive for this type of repair, yes its used but looks in pretty decent shape.

I have the same issue, I'm going to try this company https://www.lseat.com/search.php?search_query=ls430 these are real leather replacement seat skins that look identical to the factory ones. I'm going to replace the seat foam at the same time. It's a big job so I'm going to do the passenger seat first to see how it comes out. It will take a few weeks to get the covers but the prices are very reasonable at $339 for the covers and approx $400 for the foam.

I looked at the www.lseat.com site mentioned above and it looked pretty good. Please let us know how they turn out.

Hey guys,

Thanks so much, I've bought the ebay item, that seat cover is used, however, it looks to be in good condition and I prefer it to be genuine.
I'm in Australia so your driver's seat is my passenger, it should be fine, there's no difference in the skin between the two seats.

Thanks SO much, great bunch of helpful replies
I love my LS430 and can't see why I'd upgrade to the 460 or anything else for that matter, so I'm keen to keep it looking and driving new for as long as possible.

FYI, Lexus of Melbourne asked me for $4,800 for this item. That's (as of today) US$3650.
That's approximately the current wholesale value of my LS.

Cover arrived today, it's in good condition and because it's used and OE, it perfectly matches the rest of the interior.

I'll attempt to install it myself tomorrow, but will probably run out of time as usual and have a trimmer do it.

Thanks for your help guys, so far so good.

I was considering having the drivers seat redone and can't find another OE cover, so may try LSeat also.
My drivers foam has collapsed also, as expected for 300,000 kms and desperately requires replacement.

I found a local shop that will do each seat bottom for $120 each.

Also, leatherseats.com does not have a listing for the LS430, last time I checked.
