Default Sport Suspension

I have the sport suspension on my 2004 ls and do no care for it. I have had other 430s and liked the ride much better. What would I do to change to a regular one. ,I would not change the sway bar or the 18in tires. What would I change.

Can't imagine the Sport Suspension being an issue, especially if the car has more than 50,000 miles on it. I have two LS 430's (one with, one without) and the difference is only noticeable when cornering. I believe that the Sport Suspension is much safer.

Changing a Sport Suspension out includes a different rear sway bar, different bushings for the sway bars (front and rear), lower control arm bushings and I'm almost sure everything associated with the struts.

Probably an expensive and foolish change out. If you require a really soft ride find a standard LS 430 with 200,000 miles on it.

How are your tires? Maybe due for a new set and go with a softer tire. Tire pressure set to high?

Sport suspension has 18 inch wheels instead of stock 17 inch wheels. Compared with a 17 inch wheel and typically higher profile 17 inch tire, the 18 inch wheel/tire combo may result in a harsher ride (varying somewhat based on the tires used).

I would actually argue, you might be able to solve your issue with a happy medium.
Stock 17's wrapped in a comfy tire would change the car very much to the plush side, and that might be enough for you to like it, and at the same time it would be cheaper than switching a whole complete suspension in to your car.

I totally agree with King and Jabber, and was tempted to write same, but the OP says he doesn't want 17's.

It's probably important to know what brand and model tires you have now. As mentioned, that could have a big "impact" on your ride complaint and a change there could possibly save you from a "harsh" bill.
