Default Pads and rotors suggestions please

I am replacing pads and rotors on my LS. There are so many choices and types in the aftermarket. There's also the choice of going with OEM parts. I'm hoping to find something a little more cost effective. Warped rotors has been my problem- anyone had a great experience with a specific set of pads and rotors? Suggestions?

+1 on the Brembo. I used them on the rear of my 03 LS430. I used Bremsen rotors on the front with factory pads all around. The factory pads appear to be Akebono. I've heard Bendix is also good.

After purchasing my car 6 years ago, I knew the rotors were warped. My pads had 50% left but replaced with oem pads and turned the rotors. All was fine for about 2 years when the steering shake was back. It seems warped rotors are common for the LS430. I've been tolerating the condition for 4 years but when the time comes I'm not sure which rotor to go with and might go with Akebono pads from previous experience. I'm not confident that oem rotors are that superior with our cars with so many warpage issues. Need to look further for an appropriate rotor.

I didn't know that warped rotors were common for the LS430. What causes rotors to warp? Overheating. How do you overheat the rotors? Repeated full pressure stops (such as present for race cars) or riding the brake at constant speed come to mind. Also not changing brake pads when they are worn out as you have metal to metal conditions. Installing new brake pads without mating the rotor if the pads were excessive worn before replacing. Installing inferior pads or rotors can contribute.

I have never had even an indication of steering shake in my car which is maintained by Lexus and OEM parts as needed.

Default Rotors and pads

You can usually find oem pads online for the same price as aftermarket and brembo rotors. I have tried the thermo quiet pads on my wife's acura mdx front and back and have been very pleased!
