Default New Rims/Tires Needed for LS430 Sport '03

I have an '03 LS430 that finally needs new rims and tires. This was a former fleet car that was owned by one of the owners of the company that I work for. They made me a crazy good deal on the car in perfect running order (sans the leaky rims) for $1000. It has 225,000 miles on it and still drives like a couch.... The original chrome rims have delaminated on the inside and will no longer hold air for any length of time regardless of how much goo we pump into them (bandaid.) It has a couple of other small issues that are cosmetic that I will post later for some help...but this is imperative that I order and get installed the right rims. My daughter had a blow out the other night and she is the one who will drive it the most, hence the need to make it right. So...currently 225/55R17 on it. Tried to have Les Schwab Tire (Tacoma, WA market) order me some new rims and when they went to install them along with new tires, they wouldn't fit. Said the rims rubbed on the front calipers. Any help on where I could order the right style rims? Nothing fancy...

Check craiglist, there are usually some OEM rims floating around. There is an OEM set of 18's in washington D.C., but I suspect you live in Washington state.

Thanks for the CL idea...been down that road and found some similar issues with the rims I wanted to buy. Would rather spend the dollars on new perfect rims..just need a little guidance! Thanks for the quick reply! Much appreciated and indeed...from Washington State..."The Other Washington"

suggest you upgrade to rims from 04-06 year model. they look much better and the car will thank you. look on ebay for a set, but I would get from auto recycler (junk yard) 17 inch chrome are $250 each and available to be shipped. If you want 18 they can also be had. @$ 175 apiece for the 18's I think car parts dot com is where to start. I have not looked at 18 chrome, but I bet they have them. they will fit guarenteed
