Default 2001 LS 430 with original window sticker and port inspection certificate!

Just got this 2001 LS 430, I assume it's a Ultimate Luxury with the $12,505 options... Can't believe both of these were in the glove box.

Thanks! Man I couldn't believe the car was $70,400 ! That's crazy, how do I find out what options it doesn't have? And the $1800 chrome wheels are still beautiful! Did you see the stamp from the factory that sais passed?

My 2004 LS430 UL had a total list price of $71,064. The base price had increased from $54,006 to $55,750. But the UL option had decreased from $12,506 to $11,320. My chrome wheels were $100 less and I had a cargo net for $59. My transportation was $80 more. Just for comparison.

I wonder what they really paid? some jerk with a 460 brags that his list for 71k, paid 61k. he is an insufferable braggart, probably government. anyway my '05 premium sold for $48,000 as a 2 year old car with 14,000 miles. the 2007 460's were on the lot at the time. I have the receipt in the glovebox. CPO

Def not bragging lol- just was in shock.. No idea what they really paid. The car was in my extended family.. The owner was 77- so I'd say the cars never seen 4,000 rpms

Honestly so far- I wish I had kept my Avalon. There's so much on these cars to worry with. Air Suspension, sensors, excetra.. yes it rides and drives great, gas milage is OK even though it's a V8. My Avalon with the 2GFRE motor (3.5) would blow this car away.. funny that it costs so much more and can be dusted by a Avalon.. everyone goes on and on about how great these cars are yet if you go and read the Avalon forum there's a world of difference.. anything will run 300,000 miles if you keep piecing it together with repairs. A good car will go to 300,000 miles with minimal replaced parts.... mine is a daily driver and so far no problems 3000 miles into it.. I do have a oil pan seal needs replaced and had to order brakes to try and solve the shimmy problem, or I'll have to replace hub assemblies.
The car is enjoyable if you have time to work on it and are prepared to spend a little.. if you are set on one make sure you don't get the Ultra Luxury.. cool options but really a bunch of BS that came from the Toyota Celsius for driving someone important in the back seat.. you'll forgo the air ride and loosing that by getting a regular LS instead of Ultra Luxury will save you lots of money and headaches...

I actually have the certificate as well which I discovered digging through the voluminous owners manual binder.

That does not make sense that your prior Avalon "blows away" your LS as Car & Driver reported 6.6 seconds to 60. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...trumented-test

Are you sure the engine is in good tune? Also, with the learning transmission, it might be possible that it needs to adapt to your driving style. Regardless, unless there is something wrong with the 430 you have, there ain't no way that an Avalon will blow it away.
